Where are you located?

Please click on the map link to see where in town we are located.  For directions, click on “getting here”.

Do you have a pool at the hotel?

Yes we do, a wave pool!  It has a salt water filtration system and it’s so huge that the locals call it the Pacific Ocean.  It’s even stocked with Marlin and Tuna.

* Please note the sarcasm.  In March ’10, a young woman seriously thought we had a pool after reading this.  Her name will not be revealed in order to save her from a lifetime of ridicule.

Can we get an extra bed added to our room?

Sorry, but all of our rooms are single or double occupancy only, except for Bum Bum and Peacock.

We are a family of five, do you have a room for us?

Please look at the room descriptions, and the previous question.

What time can I check in?

Check in is after 3 PM, however if the room is ready when you arrive, of course we will let you check in earlier.  If you are arriving after 7 PM, please let us know in advance, so we can have someone here to check you in.

Do you have internet?

Yes! And it’s free!  We have free Wifi, however because of the size of the building and the way it’s built, the signal may not make it to your room.  Most of our guests come to the living room to use their computers and chat with other guests, if they bring a laptop on vacation with them at all.

Is it safe?

Yes, it’s very safe.  All that scuttlebut you hear on Fear Factor, I mean Fox News, is blown out of proportion on top of being 1,000 miles away.  Your biggest fear should be a sun burn or being so relaxed that you decide to stay (it happens).

Do you have a gym?

We have an old fashioned gym – it’s called the outdoors.

We’re coming for Spring Break, where’s the closest foam party?

We have just the foam party you’re looking for.  Have a couple of shots of tequila at a local bar, then we’ll give you a ride out to the jungle where they hold all the best foam parties.  We also have some great mortgage backed securities for sale as well.

Do I need an adapter for my laptop, Iphone, crackberry, and portable DVD player?

Nope, same as the rest of North America.

Can I use dollars in town? Will the ATM give me dollars? Can I use a credit card at the shops in town?

We recommend using your ATM card to get pesos. You will get the best rate and have cash for purchases. Check the exchange rate before you hit the ATM, as you will need to make your withdrawal in pesos. Just like the ATM at your home does not give an option in pesos, the ATM here will not give you an option in dollars.  It is currently about 12 to 1, so 2400 pesos is around 200 bucks.  Using US Dollars to make purchases in town? May as well wear a sign on your back that says “please nickle and dime me on the exchange rate”.

Do you take Travelers Checks?

Travelers Checks?  Yeah, and we also send telegrams to America and get our mail on a donkey.  No, we don’t.  It’s Mexico, not Marrakesh 1986.

My Mom is staying with you, if I call can you connect me to her room?

Yes. But the way we connect with the rooms is setting our margarita down and walking upstairs with the phone.  None of our rooms have telephones, making unwinding easier.

Do you have smoking rooms?

My Grandma smoked for like 90 years, and she didn’t even smoke inside.  We actually would prefer no fire of any kind in our rooms.  This place isn’t Dunder Mifflin, but two words about the Sayulita Fire Department: Doesn’t exist.

Can I drink the water?

If you want to go home with a camera full of pictures of the inside of your bathroom, by all means.  We provide, in several areas of the hotel and some rooms, drinking water for our guests.  You should feel comfortable brushing your teeth and showering, just don’t full-on drink the water from the tap.

Do you have board storage?

Yes we do!  We have closet for board storage right in our lobby, so you don’t have to drag that dagger up any stairs.

Is Breakfast included?

You bet your Aunt Jemima it is.  We provide a wonderful continental breakfast which typically consists of our very own home-made granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and tea.  Between October and June we even have freshly baked muffins each morning.  This is a light breakfast intended to get you started for the day.  If you need 8 muffins 4 bowls of granola and 4 pitchers of fresh squeezed OJ, we’ll be happy to point you towards one of our many fine local restaurants for a glutonous breakfast.
